The 1st of the Taraz Ten families is home safe and sound with their son. Another family from France (Nathalie and baby Maksut) who is not part of the Taraz ten but is adopting from Taraz also obtained a positive decision last week.

Congratulations Becky, Jeremy, Noah, Nathalie and Maksut!!
Lot’s of adoption traffic these days in Taraz and with the holidays more delays expected. It’s starting to move FINALLY and looking promising.

We had our pre-court on Dec/13/2010 and our next court date is Dec/23/2010. After Dec/23/2010 they will give us another court date where they will call in witnesses (locals) who had refused to adopt Dylan. After that is done the judge, prosecutor and everyone else will all go to the baby house to observe us with Dylan. We will then have 1 or 2 more court dates to get our decision. Very Long Procedure considering we already did all of this in April, but we have no choice and follow their procedure and do as they say.

Dylan is doing good and we are also doing fine. We are trying to keep ourselves busy. We asked Vicki and Beth if there was anything we can do for them and they found us some work to do. They had many boxes and bags with donated clothes and toys and we needed to take inventory of them. We separated the old form the new, then separated all the pants, sweaters, toys, shoes etc. We folded them, counted them, repacked them in boxes and bags and labelled every box and bag. A Bank in the US donated all their uniforms because they changed their company logos with hundreds of sweaters, shirts, blouses and cardigans that were either new or second hand but in very good condition. Many new beautiful knitted sweaters, socks, hats, scarves and mittens were also donated by women who knitted them. These will all be delivered for the holidays to the orphanages, caregivers and people in need.

We were very happy to have helped out, it gave us something to do and we also had fun with some of the items we unpacked as you can see from the pictures.

  1. Hey guys,
Great pictures, my favorite is the fur hat with the knitted kerchief. Fil very nice ! You can also tell that Fil packed the boxes (sorry Mary) for how neatly they are all stacked. Can't wait for what for the court dates. Love you guys, miss you! Keep us posted.
