Today after our morning visit with Dylan we went for a walk at the Centre, “Downtown Taraz”. It’s about a 30 minute walk from our apartment and it was so warm and beautiful. There was a mini-bazaar on the main street downtown where merchants were selling some of their very “fresh” goods. I tried taking pictures without causing too much attention because everyone stares all the time. The fact that I’m also the only female that wears running shoes does give reason to cause a lot of attention in Taraz. The women here are always well dressed and have high heal boots all the time.

Here are some pictures of our afternoon spent downtown.
The 1st pictures are the restaurant The Bear which is our favourite Russian restaurant and serves espresso! We ran into some friends there and spent a couple of hours together.
The next picture is Hotel Zhambul which is situated downtown (next to the Bear Restaurant) and this is where most of the adoptive parents stay.
The remaining of the pictures are of the mini bazaar and some other surroundings.
